How do We Protect the Children That Are Not Ours?

Torture the man using a variety of weapons such as a hand, gun, rope, chainsaw, razor, or spike. You can also humiliate him with paint. This game is intended to relieve stress. Enjoy responsibly.

It's Sunday afternoon and I walk into my grandmothers home after a great church service. Upstairs I find my little 11 year old cousin playing a game called torture 2 on the Internet. Apparently this is a free game that anyone can google and play, and that's what he did. What I saw disturbed me to say the least.

The game consist of a lifelike body, suspended by ropes, that you as the "player" have positioned. Then you use a variety of weapons including different types of firearms, chain saws, spikes, and even razors to mutilate the corpse. This game also consist of blood and sound effects as the body is destroyed. I was appalled that I was in the room with 3 other adults and no one seemed to mind that he was playing this demonic game and having fun doing it.

So I made my cousin stop playing the game, bringing it to the attention of my aunt. She jokingly said, "It's teaching him about anatomy. It's OK." I am not in this house 24 hours a day or 7 days a week. I can only instill some values when I am there, however, the primary care givers are allowing him to still play. How do we protect children that are not ours? He is still family and of course I care about how he is raised. However, I know of the seeds being planting from my cousin playing this game and I want him to stop. Aside from praying and making him shut if off while I'm there, I feel helpless. I guess my issue is not just him playing this gruesome game, but that my aunt who is raising him feels its OK.
