Helpful Hint: How to Beat the Heat

It is

blazingly hot outside but you can’t stay inside the house or office because you have to go shopping, do groceries, meet friends, meet clients or for some reasons you have to be outside the whole day.

You can turn up your air-conditioner in your car when traveling and drive straight to a shopping mall where there is air conditioned and a roof to shade the heat. But what if you have to do a short walk or being outdoor swinging your golf club? Sweat and feeling sticky is certainly uncomfortable.

So here are the ways to keep yourself cool and get ready to tango outside facing the heat wave


1.

A pair of cool shades

Apart from looking like a hunk or lady Gaga, these shades will just come in handy to shade your eyes from heat and light.

2. Umbrella

This will protect you from getting fried under the sun.

3. Sunscreen

You just cannot do without them. Not to cool yourself but it protects you from skin cancer.

4. Cotton shirt

Wear cotton shirts. It’s a good insulator and keeps your body cool.

5. Cool water thermos

A must have in your bag if you are outdoor. Add some ice to it. You can either drink the water to re-hydrate or splash some of the water on your face to cool yourself. Replenishing water is crucial when you are under a hot sun to avoid heat stroke which could be danger to your life.

6. Water spray

Bring a water spray or mist bottle and when you feel hot just spray whenever you like.

7. Cooling shirt

Tubes were sewn in this shirt and plugs connected to a cooler. This shirt is mostly use by car racers, bikers and firemen. One setback though, you have to carry a cooler with you in a backpack if you want to stay cool the whole day. Check out the link for explanation.

8. Cooling vest

This one seems to be more convenient. You don’t need to bring a cooler. All you have to do is just soak the cooling vest in water for 1-3 minutes and you can cool yourself outdoor the whole day. Click image for details.

9. Cool hat

This works to evaporate the moisture from your head and in effect cool your head temperature.

10. Portable fan

You can get a handheld cooling fan and battery operated. This is better than fanning yourself hot with your own bare hands. Click image for details.
