Cell Phone Data Extraction Devices... Are They Legal?

Police in Michigan have been under scrutiny because of alleged cell phone data extraction devices. These devices allow police to extract information from your cell phone during a routine traffic stop. Groups are questioning if the extraction is legal and does it lawfully allow police to gain access to personal information.
